Another leaf of the calendar sheds ...

Muzik :: David Pouge - Sounds of Silence
Mood :: Feeling Independent
Book :: None :(

More chocolate, VBA and timeout with Rachit, Shui and folks ... well, it was a big slab of choccolate, it just didn't feel right to devour it all in a day, made more sense to worship it :P ... Oh and also got some from Vivek Desai (no, I won't die due to over consumption of chocolate ... chocolate doesn't kill and I'll prove that, even if it kills me!). More VBA, well Kevin (one of the guys who did his FYP with Apple) asked for help with his CAT project, and well, I like VBA :P ... hmmm, 'twas fun to just hangout and meet new people ...

So, what else ... well, I have a version my GSoC application, not completly satifying but a version none the less. Would be cool, if to get through for GSoC, I mean, who wouldn't want a Google T-Shirt!? Will recheck my resume, add IDM SIG to it and throw in a application for the Apple WWDC scholarship as well.

Still unsure if I have a marketing mid-term on Tuesday (couldn't check with John, I think he's phone-o-phobic :P ... does he ever pick up his phone?) and would still rather attend the ACM Symposium if possible! :P

hmmm, oh well, am just going to code in the dictionary search for CC-Monitor now ... back to work.

Closing Quote :: I need this job to get the experience required to get this job.

... and other stuff ...

Muzik :: Westlife - Total Eclipse of the Heart
Mood :: Dream-struck / chocolaty [eating, VanHouten - Whole Fruits and Nuts]
Book :: Isaac Asimov - Foundation

The other stuff, Giorgos got Hunter to say "remove the video immediately", with regards to the SCD video (almost feel sorry for the guys who toiled over it).

On another note, a forwarded email read "Congratulations! Your submission Measuring the Creative Commons", co-authored by A. Guglani and G. Tayi, has been accepted for presentation in SCECR 07 – Third Statistical Challenges in eCommerce Research Symposium"

Am hoping to get a free pass for the ACM Symposium and the other bigger security conference at which Michael will be presenting in April. Lets see how it goes.

I am done with a second draft for my GSoC application, one more pass and it'll be almost ready. I am hoping to submit it by Monday, hopefully Adam and Michael will be done with the red-tape by then. I need to submit my Apple thing over the weekend as well.

Met up with Adeline (SMU BIG) today ... another meeting on Monday morning 10 am ... so now the IDM SIG folks can have a networking session with NYP and NAFA students, how nice! =)

Okie, end of random ramblings for now, back to the chocolate, the first one of the year ... yummilicious ...

Catch up ...

Muzik :: Jonathan Coulton - Code Monkey
MonkeyMood :: Nostalgic / Anti-work
Book :: Bryan Maizlish and Robert Handler - IT Portfolio Management Step-By-Step [Some life, huh! =P]

Ohkie, let's play catch up ... in this post I'll recapatulate all that has come to pass since the last post ... ermm ... okie, looks like I haven't posted for a really really long time, my last unpublished post was an eulogy for Sonu ... guess I couldn't really come up with the right words (if they exist). Since then, hmmm made a lot of progress with my research project (go Free Culture!), done a couple of projects with SCB I-Lab, launched an IDM SIG and am applying for Google Summer of Code 2007 (fingers-crossed) and that's the major highlights. How's that for fast-forward!

Am working with the DDE team, frankly think I'll end up doing a good part of their project for them if they're going to finish this. Everything else seems to be going as scheduled.

For the summer, am still trying for sky-diving, hopfully this August. I'll be working on a WATIR script for Michael to help him migerate Scoop to a newer (functional) version in April. Also be working with MetamorphoSIS exco and to arrange the orientation camp. There'll always be my research and hopefully GSoC! Am also applying for Apple WWDC scholarship.

Hmmm, might get to attend the security conference Michaels' speaking at, should be an interesting experience. and while I am at the topic of Michael, do check out www.securitytinker.com, am trying to help him collate a lot of cool stuff there. =)

Okie then, that's all for now, I need to get some work done, am still to finalise my GSoC proposal and I have an 0830 Am class tomo... today!
